You will need

  • Milkmaid 1 small tin
  • Hot water 65ml
  • Saffron powder 1 tsp.
  • Butter 3 tsp.
  • Desiccated coconut 350g
  • Cardamom 1 tsp.

Let’s make it

Step 1
Dissolve saffron powder in hot water and set aside.
Step 2
Divide the mixture into two equal parts. Add the saffron water to one and cardamom to the other and mix well.
Step 3
Layer the cardamom coconut mixture in a square dish and flatten until smooth on top
Step 4
Top up with the saffron coconut mixture and flatten on top. Place in fridge to cool for one hour before cutting the layered Burfi into desired shapes
