You will need

  • MILKMAID 350ml
  • Flour 500g
  • Icing Sugar 125g
  • Vanilla 1 tsp
  • Salted Butter 250g
  • Egg 1
  • Cinnamon Powder 6g
  • Clove Powder 3g
  • Nutmeg Powder 3g
  • A pinch of Salt
  • Lime Juice 10ml
  • Green Apple cubes 400g
  • Raisings 600g
  • Currants 200g
  • Melted Butter 400g
  • Rum 50ml
  • Brandy 50ml

Let’s make it

How to make the dough:
Step 1
Add butter, icing sugar and egg into a bowl and mix well.
Step 2
Then add flour, vanilla and mix into a dough. Cover the dough with a baking paper and keep it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
How to prepare Minced meat mixture
Step 1
Add raisins, green apples, currants, lime juice, melted butter, a pinch of salt, nutmeg powder, cinnamon powder, clove powder, MILKMAID, Rum and Brandy respectively into a bowl and mix together.
Step 2
Store the mixture in a refrigerator for minimum ½ hour or up to 2 weeks
How to assemble the pies
Step 1
Roll the dough on a floured surface and cut into circle and star shapes
Step 2
Make the tart base, fill it with the Minced pie mixture and place the star shaped tough on top.
Step 3
Egg wash with a beaten egg, sprinkle the top with sugar and bake in 180℃ for 15 – 20 minutes until it turns golden brown.
Step 4
Let the pies cool down, dust with icing sugar and serve
