You will need

  • MILKMAID Small Tin
  • Flour 2 Cups
  • Brown Sugar 1 Cup
  • Butter, melted 3/4 Cup
  • Egg 1
  • Egg Yolk 1
  • Vanilla Essence 2 tsp
  • Red Food Coloring 1 tbsp
  • Cocoa Powder ¼ tsp
  • Baking Soda 1 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Chocolate Chips 1½ cups

Let’s make it

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 160°c. Line two baking trays with baking sheets or parchment paper.
Step 2
In a large bowl, beat together MILKMAID, brown sugar and butter, until well combined. Add the egg, egg yolk, vanilla, and food coloring, and mix until combined.
Step 3
Add the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, and mix until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips. Scoop the dough into one inch balls, then divide the balls in half and stack the two halves on top of each other.
Step 4
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cookies look dry on top and are very lightly browned around the edges. Let cool five minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
