Let’s make it
Line 2 baking trays with baking paper. Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy.
Add spices, MILKMAID and eggs, mix well. Add sifted flour and baking powder, mix to form a firm dough; wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 10 to 15 minutes.
Cut dough in half and roll out between sheets of baking paper to 5 mm thick. Cut out gingerbread men or other shapes, using the cutter. Repeat with the remaining dough.
Place biscuits on prepared trays and bake in batches for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden. Cool for 5 minutes on tray before cooling on a wire rack.
Butter contains fat-soluble vitamins K,A, D, E and is high in saturated fats which actually increases HDL (the “good” cholesterol).
