Beat the eggs slightly. Add water and MILKMAID to the eggs and whisk well. Add the vanilla essence to the mixture.
Trim the crusts from the bread slices and cut each slice into halves. Dip the slices of bread into the egg mixture.
Carefully place the bread in the pan and cook the bread over moderate heat for about 4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Serve the French toast with butter & MILKMAID, or honey.
