In a pan add butter and allow it to melt, next add MILKMAID and baking powder and stir well.
Then add the semolina, ground cashew and water, stirring well constantly until combined.
Line a tray with butter and oil paper and pour the mixture into this tray.
Bake in a 190°C preheated oven for 35 minutes or until golden
For the syrup, add sugar and water to a saucepan, bring this to a boil and simmer for 6 -8 minutes
Turn off the heat and stir in the lime juice, rosewater and ground cashew
Remove the basbousa from the oven and pour cooled syrup all over the cake
Place in the fridge to cool completely and cut in to diamond shaped slices and garnish with cashews and serve.
