You will need

  • MILKMAID 390g
  • Flour 250g
  • Baking soda 1 ½ tsp
  • Eggs 2
  • Fresh Ginger Paste 2 tsp
  • Butter 80g
  • Sugar 3 tbsp
  • Water 100ml

Let’s make it

Step 1
Splash some water into sugar and microwave in high heat for 2-3 minutes until it turns deep amber color.
Step 2
Carefully take out of the oven and add 100ml of boiling water. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 3
Add butter into a bowl and beat well. Add ginger paste and caramel syrup and beat again.
Step 4
Add MILKMAID, eggs and beat again
Step 5
Add baking soda into flour and mix. Then sift flour into the batter and beat lightly until smooth.
Step 6
Line a loaf pan with baking paper and pour the mixture into the pan. Bake for 40-45 minutes in a preheated oven at 160℃.
Step 7
Let cool on a wire rack for 5 mins and slice to serve hot with butter.
