Step 1
In a bowl, stir together flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon and baking powder.
Step 2
In another bowl combine eggs, melted butter, MILKMAID, milk, almond essence and stir well. Add all at once to the flour mixture.
Step 3
Add chopped dates, hot water and baking soda. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes. Carefully stir in the almonds to the mixture.
Step 4
Fill the mixture into a greased medium muffin tin and bake at 175°C for 25 to 30 minutes or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.
