Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C
Step 2
Grease a 7-inch diameter cake tin, dust it with flour, and keep it aside.
Step 3
Dust some flour on to mix fruit and nut and keep aside.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, beat the 150g butter and 1 Milkmaid tin (390g)
Step 5
Mix 250g flour, 1 ½ tsp baking powder, ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda, 1tbsp cornflour, 3tbsp icing sugar, and sieve mixture in the batter.
Step 6
Alternately add water and flour mixture into the batter and mix well. Finally, add mix fruit and nut and mix well.
Step 7
Pour into the lined cake tin and bake for 30-35 minutes. Slice and serve.
