You will need

  • For the Cake:
  • Eggs 4 Nos
  • Sugar 200g
  • MILKMAID 390g
  • Flour 200g
  • Baking Soda ¼ Tsp
  • Vanilla 1 Tsp
  • Cocoa Powder 2 Tbsp
  • For the Filling:-
  • Butter 150g
  • Icing sugar 500g
  • Cocoa powder 4 Tbsp
  • Milkmaid 2 Tbsp
  • Vanilla 1 Tsp

Let’s make it

Step 1
Beat the eggs until thick and light
Step 2
Add Sugar , MILKMAID, Vanilla and Beat until well combined
Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix Flour, cocoa powder and baking soda, and add to the egg mixture and fold it well
Step 4
Spread the batter evenly in a prepared pan
Step 5
In an oven preheated to 190°C, bake for 15 minutes until the cake springs back when lightly touched
Step 6
Remove from oven and turn out immediately onto a tea towel that has been sprinkled generously with icing sugar
For the Filling:-
Step 1
Beat the butter until soft
Step 2
Next, Add the Icing sugar, Cocoa powder, MILKMAID and vanilla, and continue to beat until soft
Step 3
Evenly Spread the top of the cake with the prepared filling
Step 4
Roll the cake with the oil paper, making sure to tighten the edges, and refrigerate until set.
Step 5
Once set, Ice the entire cake with the icing, including the ends and the bumps
Step 6
Run a fork along the icing so that it resembles a tree bark
Step 7
Sprinkle the top of the cake with icing sugar and decorate with holly or other Christmas decoration leaves
Step 8
Store in refrigerator and serve
