Let’s make it
Preheat oven to 175 Degrees C (350 degree F). Grease a 9 X 13-inch baking pan with butter and flour and set aside.
Cream butter and 1 cup sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs in two batches and mix well, followed by a ½ teaspoon of vanilla essence.
Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside.
Add flour mixture to the butter mixture 2 tablespoons at a time and mix well and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
Bake the cake at 175 Degrees C (350 degrees F) for 30 minutes. Once baked allow the cake to rest and pierce cake several times with a fork.
Combine milk, MILKMAID and evaporated milk together and pour over the cake.
Whip the cream and 1 cup of sugar and remaining 1 teaspoon vanilla together until thick. Spread the whipped cream over the cake and refrigerate well before serving.
